Like many, I’m looking forward to seeing The Girl on the Train. The trailer has some great shots so I decided Emily Blunt was the ideal subject for the first page of my new sketchbook – toned grey paper by Strathmore.
The paper has a recycled ‘rag’ type feel to it, and you can tell it’s been designed to take charcoal. Toned paper allows you to use white charcoal for highlights too which creates a greater value range for increased realism.
